- Description: The idea of before and now were the inspiration for the two drawings weapons of destruction and in sync.
In weapons of destruction, My african wild dog is surrounded by zumbaba’s, in a sea of ever increasing urban sprawl. The candy tape signals danger. Above the tape of danger the African wild dog has disappeared and only the wild dogs outline is left filled with the footprint of human sprawl. In the foreground are my zumbabas with their characteristic features of deafness, gluttony, greed and self centricity.
In contrast in sync is drawn only using natural forms and the thorn branch is a symbol of natural protection.
